Trip to Whitney Museum of American Art

The National Art Honor Society and AP Art History students took their annual trip to the city January 3, 2019.  They spent the day learning about the iconic artist Andy Warhol at the Whitney Museum of American Art.  Their show, Andy Warhol From A to B and Back Again, is one of the first retrospectives of this American Artist work in the states since his death.  Students saw the impact pop culture had on his work and how he has since influenced our pop culture.  Surrounded by his colorful work, students discussed the context ad content of these famous pieces with museum educators.  Students even got to reflect on Warhol's work by creating some images using the artist's ideas.
